How's the tummy doing, Dungeon Meshi Maniacs? Did that Orc Medicine helped soothe any rumblings? Was yours with or without worms? I'll admit that I did not add more worms after the three that was placed into mine...against my better judgement I might add! Even the extra worms couldn't disrupt how amazing the Orc Medicine turned out. Speaking of orcs, let's get to my favorite Dungeon Meshi character. Leed!
"So...Leed...that's a character you made up! Stop being wild and insane!" I can hear you program an Apple II to scream at me. Fraid not, DMMs. Leed is the sister of the orc chieftain we met many MANY chapters ago. She's so cool! Not only is she a snappy dresser, she is a great judge of character.
Anybody that can peg Chilchuck so quickly is a winner in my book. But there's more to Leed than knowing a deadbeat when she sees one. She's also great with advice.Honesty really is the best policy, DMMs. Especially when it comes to being afraid of dying at the bottom of a dungeon. I always enjoy seeing Leed any time she shows up. Which isn't often! Okay, okay. I see that you're confused. Leed really isn't the first on anyone's mind when they think of Dungeon Meshi. She isn't in the main group and is maybe in five chapters total? How could I possibly say that she is my favorite character? Simple. I have a soft spot for the C level characters. What is a C level character? They are normally a background character with few lines, not someone that could step up and take over the show if need be. Most people would arch their brows and go "Who?" when you said that you liked them. Those are my favorites! The lack of detail means you get to fill it out yourself. A fanfic wonderland. I can even pinpoint the exact moment I came to truly love the C listers. A little show called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!Irma! April's friend and the secretary of Channel 6! First off, her design is way too targeted right at me. Puffy sweater and square glasses? I could easily pull that look off, DMMs! She also had a slightly sarcastic sense of humor....like most of the cast of TMNT. She, also like me, was open to date just about anyone and anything. Human was not a requirement.
I know that her and Donatello never got down on screen but that can't stop the imagination of a very weird kid. I could go on and on about every C lister that I love but I thought I'd do something different this week, DMMs. I've wondered how many people read to this point of the posts. So if you haven't noped out I'm asking you to go back to the post where you found this blog (i.e. Bluesky) and respond with your favorite C list character! Who stands in the background but also in your heart. I'm wanting to hear from YOU, DMMs!
